About My Approach

Executive Coaching Approach

I provide a unique coaching experience that draws on my leadership and therapy background as well as my psychiatric knowledge of the way brain wiring affects perceptions, interactions, experience, group dynamics and performance. I am driven to help individuals and teams embrace challenges and realize their ambitious objectives.

My clients are predominantly high potential emerging leaders, C-suite executives, physicians, and attorneys, in firms, start-ups, and more established companies. They are looking for creative, empowering solutions to complex problems. I help them find meaning, clarity, balance, fiscal success, and well-being. Purpose driven living and leadership are combined in a recipe for tremendous success. I help define and build mission statements, create business strategy and support execution to defined goals. I am both proactive in helping build and responsive in addressing stuck points.

With the best of intentions, we all communicate ineffectively, misinterpret cues and clues, and make poor decisions. I solve these interpersonal glitches, and move these impasses forward. I have helped teams coalesce, and have helped shift poorly performing individuals to star performers. I help leaders build effective teams, working with them to define mission and goals, and aiding the development and implementation of strategy in both big picture and detailed ways.

We regularly reflect on what is and is not working, address the blocks to success, develop and grow executive presence, manage complex work relationships and environments, and select their best use of time and resources.

Studies have shown that high level executives who get coaching are substantially more effective in their career trajectories over time. The myriad of skills required to function optimally, are not inborn. They can be learned, with help, over time. Executive coaching done well, addresses the above questions and more. As a premier executive coach, my goal is to help my clients realize their vision, make optimal use of their time and energy, and be their best selves.

By and large, clients come to me by personal referral from prior or current clients, and from professional colleagues. I bring a 40 plus year track record of success, the breadth of knowledge and expertise needed to tackle the specific challenges my clients face, and a passion to partner with them in developing and actualizing personalized plans for success. I work both big picture and tactically, meeting my clients where they are, and helping them get where they want to go.

Andrew Weil, M.D.
Director and Chair of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona

Learning to control emotions is both difficult and rewarding, probably one of the most important steps to attain optimum health of both mind and body. Dr Eve Wood has authored a detailed and practical guide to help you do it. I recommend this book and am completely in agreement with the philosophy behind it.

C. Everett Koop, M.D., Sc.D.
Former U.S. Surgeon General & Former Professor, Dartmouth Medical School

I have seldom been so moved by a book. There's Always Help; There's Always Hope is the only healing model that makes sense. Whether you are a healthcare provider or a fellow seeker, this book stands out like a lighthouse in stormy weather.
